Another Monday, another outfit! This week I am bringing you an adorable floral romper that I bought a couple of weeks ago when I was in Charlotte. Not only is it really affordable, it’s also really comfy. It’s the perfect amount of flowy and breezy, which is great, considering how disgustingly hot it has been outside (just look at my hair in some of these photos for reference…it’s easy prey for the summer heat and humidity, ugh). I love how easy the romper is to dress up, and dress down. I can’t wait to pair it with my go-to American Eagle jean jacket, which I take full pride in. Never ever be ashamed of a good jean jacket (excuse me while I go make this my Twitter bio).
And finally, this bag is basically on the list of my top five favorite colors ever. Shout out to my wonderful mother for letting me borrow it for this post! I’ve never owned a Kate Spade bag before, but I was really impressed with how sturdy it was. I know this brand is pretty expensive, but with the quality I was able to briefly experience, I feel like you do get the bang for your buck! Unfortunately I wasn’t able to find any Kate Spade bag in the exact color, but I did link some similar styles in it down below!
I’m wishing you all another happy week! My boyfriend is visiting me this week since I have a couple days off of work, and we plan on going on many Charleston food adventures while he’s here! Better get my flowy dresses and stretchy pants locked and loaded.
Another post, another attempt at making your Monday a little sweeter! And a little more fattening…it’s ok, though. Y’all are only looking at the doughnuts…I actually ate them. All in the name of the blog, right?
Isn’t this romper to die for? That’s right, people. It’s a romper! If that doesn’t just make it automatically cuter, than I guess I’m just too easy to please. I had been eying this romper on the ASOS website for awhile, and after eying it for over a month, I finally woke up one night when I couldn’t sleep and bought it online at 3 am. Yep, 3 am. I might need a shopping intervention. But, this romper is well worth it. From the open back, to the bow sleeves, to the blue and white stripes, it’s adorable and I have no regrets, my friends. The romper also comes in black and white gingham, and blue and white with embroidery! So many options, so little time (and by time, I mean money). I paired this romper with my favorite hot pink shoes and my white tassel earrings for the most girly look I could muster, and it ended up being one of my favorite outfits on the blog so far. What do you think? Let me know in the comments below!
I hope everyone is having a fabulous start to the week! I am back in Charleston and working after my long vacation in Charlotte. Someone’s gotta pay for this shopping addiction of mine. Oh, and pay bills, but priorities, you know?
Target strikes again, my friends…not that I’ve ever experienced a time when I’ve gone into a Target and not wanted to buy at least five things that I absolutely didn’t need. But, I typically don’t buy clothes there, so I was very excited when I found this top. Basically everything about it is something to love. The bell sleeves, the gingham, and the off-the-shoulder look, all come together to make this one of my favorite tops for summer. If only it came in a light pink!
Also, Target is the place to go for accessories. Whenever I have an outfit that is just missing that one little “something,” like a piece of jewelry, or a scarf, I head to Target, because I know I’ll be able to find just what I’m looking for, for cheap. This hat is from Target, and I cant wait to wear it this summer, as well as into the fall! I’m starting to get really into hats lately, because when you have hair as thick as mine, (It takes me an hour to do my hair. An hour. No, I’m not kidding.) you want to go as long as possible without washing your hair, so a hat really helps with this.
I hope everyone is having a fantastic week so far! I hope that you enjoyed this post! Just so you know, with all of my posts, you also get free lessons on how to stand super awkwardly! I mean, just look at the fourth picture from the top. Hopefully you all find this beneficial! *insert sarcastic tone* I’m still working on this whole posing-for-the-camera thing. Have a happy week, everyone!
This week I bring to you the summer season in dress form! It’s only getting hotter outside, so why not wear a vibrant orange dress to match the weather? This dress comes complete with the off-the-shoulder look that I love, blouson sleeves, and a ruffle bottom that really makes twirling an extra fun activity. Just a warning though, people that drive by will definitely give you a judgmental look as you twirl on the sidewalk in front of someone else’s house. I paired the dress with my fun, tan heels and my new gold Lisi Lerch earrings, which I am obsessed with! I plan on doing a full post on Lisi Lerch earrings in the future!
This week brings fun plans for me, as I am visiting my family in Charlotte for an extended vacation, and have a lot of fun posts planned since I will have ample time to take pictures (as well as lay out, eat, and bask in the lazy relaxation that being at home provides). Have a great week, everybody!
Greetings, everybody! A new week brings a new post, and this week I’m bringing you neutrals in the summer, which isn’t something I often do. I usually wear my brightest clothes during this time of year, but I thought that this dress was so classic with its cut and pattern, but also kept things interesting with the fun sleeves, so I decided to give it a whirl and look past the fact that it’s just plain old black and white. The material of this dress is honestly really nice, and not too hot at all for this time of year!
I paired this dress with brown accessories. Normally, when it comes to mixing black and brown, I tend to stay away, but I felt like the lighter shades of brown in my accessories, like the oatmeal shoes and cognac necklace and clutch, seemed to work well with the black, and almost pop.
Fun fact about these pictures: if you look in the background of some of them, you can see geese. I hate geese. They are terrifying, mean, miniature feathered-dinosaurs. They can smell my fear. But, I braved standing near them to take these photos. Maybe in my next outfit post, I’ll have a badge of courage pinned to me as an accessory. Maybe I can find one on Amazon? I think I earned it.
A lot of people tend to overuse the word ‘obsessed,’ but in the case of this dress, when I say I am obsessed with it, I mean it. I would stalk this dress. This dress would probably have to get a restraining order against me. Am I taking this joke too far? Probably. But I think you all get the point.
I mean, it has pockets, people. Pockets! Hands down the greatest feature a dress can have is pockets. Whenever I feel awkward talking to someone and I don’t know what to do with my arms, if I’m wearing this dress, into the pockets my hands can securely go (in case you’re asking, yes, I crack myself up). The dress is also soooo comfortable, another huge plus. The embroidery is so precious, and finally, the SLEEVES. I love love love these sleeves. Statement sleeves are one of my favorite trends right now, and these sleeves make a statement, without being too in-your-face.
Styling this dress with wedges is great, but I think this dress could be easily dressed up for a summer wedding with some strappy nude heels and some statement earrings, like these. It can be dressed down too, and I can’t wait to wear it with my cowgirl boots this summer! When you can easily dress up and down a dress, I think it’s smart to snatch it up, because you want to get bang for your buck when it comes to your clothes.
I hope everyone is having a great week so far! I am headed to Charlotte this weekend to spend time with my family and I am so excited! I can’t wait to relax and force all of my dogs to snuggle with me.
Apparently purple is a lot of people’s least favorite color, and I am almost certain that this dress could persuade them to think otherwise. I mean, it’s gorgeous, and the color is so rich (am I describing this dress, or some sort of coffee? I don’t even know). Everyone probably knows by know that I am all about flowy tops and dresses. Maybe if I had six-pack abs (don’t think that’s in the stars for me), I wouldn’t be so concerned with the flowiness of my clothes, but for now I really enjoy the comfort level they provide, and I feel like many flowy pieces can be easily dressed up or down. I wear this dress with simple sandals and more toned-down jewelry to work all of the time, but I wanted to dress it up for this post with my new favorite wedges and some statement earrings.
Not only is the color of this dress great, but the ruffle at the bottom adds a cute and feminine touch that I really enjoy, and makes the dress a little more something special other than just a plain purple dress. I decided to pair the turquoise Kendra Scott earrings with it because I really enjoyed the contrasting jewel tones of the dress and the earrings, and thought they made each other pop!
I hope everyone is having a great start to the summer break, and hopefully for all of your sakes, getting more of a summer tan than I am. My one day off of work this week, and it’s raining…looks like I’m going to be pale forever. Ugh, my life is a highway! *I say in a sarcastically whiny voice as I stare out longingly through my rain-drenched window*
