Hello, everyone! Long time, no talk! I’m a little behind my usual posting schedule this week. I was on vacation last week, and had trouble finding the time, and I’ll admit…the energy, to take pictures for a post! I don’t like falling behind schedule, especially since I usually only post once a week, so hopefully this outfit makes up for it!
Here I am, in a gorgeous magenta dress, feeling like royalty. Bell sleeves, v-neck, a flattering fit, the list goes on. It may look a little familiar…I wore the same dress in a different color in this post! Told y’all I would do a more dressed-up version of it! I need all of my friends to hurry up and get married already, because this dress would be perfect for a wedding. The shoes I’m wearing are another Nordstrom Anniversary Sale find. I really like them! They are super comfortable and I love that I can wear them throughout most of the year. You’ll definitely see me wearing them with some jeans and a chunky sweater in a couple of months. Also, they come in red too, so if you’re trying to channel your inner Sandy from Grease, they’re the perfect shoes for you.
I’ve got a busy week ahead of me! I’ll be moving into a new place this week, so any cute decor ideas you may have, feel free to throw them my way! Maybe I can do a room tour of the bedroom in my new place once I move in and it’s all decorated! What do y’all think of that? Let me know in the comments below! Have a great week, friends!
Who doesn’t love bell sleeves? Sad people? The same people who think chocolate is gross, or that Titanic is a bad movie? I really don’t know the answer to that question, but I do know that bell sleeves are amazing, and I can’t see why anyone would think otherwise! I love this dress so much. From the sleeves, to the pattern, to the fact that it can be transitioned through the seasons, makes this dress a great staple to your closet. Plus, it can be dressed up or down! I dressed it down for this post, with my sandals and sun hat, but it can easily be dressed up as well, for a special occasion like a wedding or party (hint…hint…future blog post, perhaps?). All you have to do to transition this dress from summer to fall, is throw on some black tights underneath, and some tall black boots, and you are good to go! Maybe even add a black fur vest for extra coziness. Can you tell that I’m really excited for colder weather? Come on, -ember months, I need you!
I hope you all are having a great week! I am heading to Florida next week for a vacation with my boyfriend and his family, and I’m so excited! Keep an eye out for pictures!

Hello, folks! Here I am with another outfit for the July 4th holiday! This one is a little more casual than my previous post, but it’s nice and breezy, and that’s why I like it. I don’t know about the rest of y’all, but it is HOT here in Charleston. And don’t forget the horrible humidity we have here too. Between the heat, and humidity that makes my hair frizz up and lose its curl in about .8 seconds, I need my outfits to be breezy.
I’m pretty sure nothing encapsulates breezy like white eyelet. It’s just so feminine and beautiful. I love the construction of this white eyelet top, with the cold-shoulder ruffled sleeves, and the buttons in the back. It’s an easy top to just throw on with anything. I found these tweed shorts on sale at Banana Republic a few days ago, and I thought they were perfect for the Fourth with the red, white, and navy blue tweed. I also really love the way the shorts fit. I personally don’t like short shorts on myself, so I like for my shorts to have a little length, without looking too “mom,” so the 5″ inseam on this pair is perfect! They are also a little high waisted, which is another feature I also love. It just makes them way more comfortable! I highly suggest checking out the other shorts from Banana that I linked below if you like these features in shorts as well! I think they are my new favorite.
I hope you all enjoyed my little ideas for July 4th outfit inspiration! Bring on the fireworks and sparklers, but most importantly, heat up that grill, am I right?
