Hello everyone! I hope you all had a great weekend! I had a pretty good weekend. My boyfriend came to Charleston to visit me, and we took a ton of blog photos and I cooked us dinner. I made us meatloaf…I’ve never really liked meatloaf, but Juan does, and I hadn’t had it in years, so I thought it would be a nice easy dish to make us. I gave it a go, and it is now confirmed that I officially do not like meatloaf. That’s what I get for not following my heart when it’s telling me, “Just make spaghetti.”
This outfit is one that I’ve had planned for a month, but had tweaked and changed it several times before I finally came to the final look. I decided at the last minute to add a hat to it, and take away a jacket, and in the end, I really like the way the look came together. It’s a great, fun outfit for Valentine’s Day if you aren’t going anywhere too fancy!
I hope you all are having a great start to your week! I’ve been trying to go running more, because no matter what the groundhog said, I live in Charleston and will probably be forced to wear a bathing suit within a matter of weeks *weeps as I put sweaters into storage.* So I’m getting ready to go running today! I can guarantee I will be thinking about donuts with every step.

Hello, everyone! I hope you all had a great weekend! I am just a day away from my last exam, then I’ll be heading to Charlotte for a quick trip home before heading back to Charleston to work the last little chunk before Christmas Eve. I have been aching for exams to be over so that I can finally think about nothing but the holiday season. I know that I am terrible about rushing time away, and that I can still enjoy the holiday season during exam week, and blah blah blah. But it’s just the way I am, and I don’t like anything distracting me from my favorite time of year.
This outfit is just one of the many reasons why this time of year is my favorite. I love being cozy, and this poncho is pretty much a wearable blanket. A more classy Snuggie, perhaps? I bought it last year so it’s old, but I linked a bunch of really similar ones for y’all! Also, I wasn’t sure about these leggings when I got them and how they would look on me, but boy oh boy am I impressed. They are Spanx leggings and they take all of the holiday treats I’ve consumed the past couple months that have found a home on my thighs, and suck them right in. I mean, why do I need a gym when I have these??? (Totally kidding…Exercise is healthy, cardio is fun, yeah, yeah, whatever.) They come in a few other colors too, so I might be adding them to my list of post-Christmas purchases I have going right now. Yes, I actually have a list of things I plan on buying with whatever money I get for Christmas. This list has been going for the past month and a half, I would say. It’s edited almost daily…
…Hi, I’m Hayley Murray. Purchasing clothing is one of my top 20 greatest joys in life and I love material goods. Have we met?

Happy Thursday!! We are almost done with the week, woohoo! I’m finishing up the last bit of school work before this weekend, because my dad is coming to see me and I’m so excited! He’s going to take me to Sam’s to get some necessities. We are gonna do other stuff too, but for some reason I’m strangely excited for the trip to Sam’s…? I used to hate going there when I lived at home before college, but over the years I have found more and more enjoyment in it. Man, growing up just makes you a big ol’ bulk-shopping loser, huh?
On a totally different note, I bought this sweater for work, and now I want it in every color. It’s so comfortable, and is roomy but still manages to be flattering! I’ve been wearing it with white jeans to work because let’s face it, besides the amazing weather we have had the past few days, this is Charleston and it still feels like freaking August outside most of the time. So until it consistently feels like it’s after Labor Day, I’m going to continue wearing my white pants. It’s less laundry for me anyways…don’t have to wash my blue jeans as much.
Have a great weekend, pals! Hopefully you get through the last bit of this work week! We will make it together!
