Hello everyone! I hope you all had a great weekend! I had a pretty good weekend. My boyfriend came to Charleston to visit me, and we took a ton of blog photos and I cooked us dinner. I made us meatloaf…I’ve never really liked meatloaf, but Juan does, and I hadn’t had it in years, so I thought it would be a nice easy dish to make us. I gave it a go, and it is now confirmed that I officially do not like meatloaf. That’s what I get for not following my heart when it’s telling me, “Just make spaghetti.”
This outfit is one that I’ve had planned for a month, but had tweaked and changed it several times before I finally came to the final look. I decided at the last minute to add a hat to it, and take away a jacket, and in the end, I really like the way the look came together. It’s a great, fun outfit for Valentine’s Day if you aren’t going anywhere too fancy!
I hope you all are having a great start to your week! I’ve been trying to go running more, because no matter what the groundhog said, I live in Charleston and will probably be forced to wear a bathing suit within a matter of weeks *weeps as I put sweaters into storage.* So I’m getting ready to go running today! I can guarantee I will be thinking about donuts with every step.

How was your New Year’s, everyone?? Mine was pretty good! Nothing too wild though…my boyfriend and I actually ended up calling it a night at around 10:30 haha. Just a couple of crazy kids, huh?
This is a nice casual outfit that I thought was so easy and simple, but still managed to look casually chic. Maybe one day I will use the word ‘chic’ without feeling super pretentious, but until then I’m just gonna keep saying it. Everyone loves an outfit that looks good with little effort, right? Also, I can’t recommend these boots enough. They are the same ones I was wearing in this post, but in black. Told you I wanted to get my hands on them, didn’t I? They are selling out fast at a lot of places, so I suggest grabbing them while you can.
I’m enjoying my last week off before school starts again in a week. Ugh, isn’t that gross? Did I not just finish my last exam like a week ago?? It’s actually been three weeks since I finished my last exam, but it might as well have been one week ago because it has flown by. Just thinking about sitting in class again makes me want to take a nap. And, ya know…cry.

And just like that, my favorite time of the entire year is over *sobs, cries, blows nose, weeps*. It actually brings me to tears a little bit. I know I’m being dramatic and that I have so much to be grateful for, but I always feel really sad after the holidays are over. I don’t want to drink Starbucks out of the plain white cups, or hear boring music on the radio. And you never realize how bland your house or apartment normally looks until you take your Christmas decorations down. I’ve already seen some people take their decorations down and I cant believe it! Just a few days have passed since Christmas and they’re already down?? What’s the rush?? I can tell you right now, mine are going to be up until February. That’s just how I do things at the Murray house.
One thing that’s brought me joy during this dark time in my life haha, has been spending my Christmas money and buying clothes. I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again…I’m materialistic and love to shop. Take me as I am.
These shoes are one of my favorite gifts that I got for Christmas this year. Let me tell ya, they make me feel so fierce. I literally want to buy them in every color. I want to buy a new pair of black booties, so if Sam Edelman brings back this style again next year, a black pair will definitely be on my wish list.
I hope you all had a fantastic Christmas with your families and friends, and are doing a better job at coping with the fact that it’s over than I am!

Red Alert, people: Thanksgiving is next week!!! Praise the Lord! In just 10 days I will be stuffing my face with mac and cheese, casseroles of various sorts, and a medley of carbohydrates that will lead me to unbutton my jeans in satisfaction at the end of the day. Keep an eye out, because later this week I’ll be posting some ideas for what to wear for Thanksgiving, and I made sure to keep in mind the concealment of full stomachs, because that’s usually a pretty big concern of mine on the holiday.
On a different note, I wore this outfit one day while I was in Charlotte a couple weekends ago! I love the look of this lace top under the leather jacket! This jacket is from last year, but they brought the same jacket back this year, which I linked above, and it just has gold hardware instead of silver! It also comes in five colors, one of which being a metallic color. I’m not sure how I feel about it…It’s very bold, but I feel like it could be styled in really cute way! Go check it out and let me know what you think about it!
I hope you all are having a great start to your week! I’m just trying to make it through to the end!

Happy Friday, everyone!!! I am so pumped because I’m in Charlotte this weekend to spend time with my family! I haven’t been home in two months, and have pretty much been working and going to school nonstop, so I’ve been ready for a much needed break. I get to see my boyfriend this weekend too, and lucky him…I have about five blog outfits planned that I need him to shoot for me. But I know he won’t mind 😉
This sweater has been all over style blogs lately, but for good reason. It’s $39, comes in five different colors (like this red color that’s perfect for Christmas!), and is so comfortable! My only regret with this sweater is that I wish I had went up a size in it so I could wear it off the shoulder.
Does anyone have any fun plans for the weekend? Also, has anyone else started playing their Christmas music yet since it’s finally November? Well guess what losers, I beat all of you because I’ve been playing my Christmas music since September, as well as a little sprinkle of it during the summer, so ha! (“Hayley, are you sure we’re the losers?” -what all of you are thinking right now). As soon as I get back to Charleston after this weekend, my two Christmas trees are going up, so fa-la-la-la-la-la-la-judge-me-I-don’t-care!
