Happy Friday!!! Does anyone have any fun plans for this weekend? Today is my boyfriend’s birthday, so to celebrate he is coming to see me this weekend and I’m going to make him chicken parmesan (his favorite meal) and lemon cheesecake. Not gonna lie, I’m pretty pumped for the meal too hehe. Nothing like using your boyfriend’s birthday as an excuse to carbo-load.

This outfit is my first spring look of the year, and although I already miss my sweaters and jackets, I was really excited with how this outfit turned out. I think the hydrangeas helped! They really tied this whole look together!

This thermal top is a perfect weight to make it a great transition piece between seasons. It is unfortunately sold out in this color, but there are still a lot of colors of it that can be found on sale at a handful of places (all linked under photos)! It would look cute in the fall with jeans and boots, or in the spring with white jeans or front-tucked into denim shorts!

I hope you all have a great weekend! Get pumped for Spring!

Baseball caps are amazing. Do I even have to explain why? Baseball caps are what save you from having to spend 45 minutes to an hour blowdrying and curling your hair. I bet most of you are thinking, “Dang, it takes you that long to do your hair??” But to those of you who can relate, I feel your pain. I try not to be too lazy when it comes to my hair, but some days I am just not feelin’ it at all, and I have no choice but to throw on a baseball cap. And on days when I’m not feeling supremely lazy, I’ll take the baseball cap look a step further and dress it up a bit with a casually cute outfit, as opposed to my stereotypical leggings and t-shirt look. Put together oily hair, a day of running errands, and just a teeny bit of motivation, and this is the look you get.

This shirt is so comfortable, and as I’ve mentioned many times on this blog, it’s one of those pieces that you can dress up or down (sorry for the repetitiveness, it’s just a huge pro for me when it comes to pieces of clothing). Throw this top on with some black jeans, black booties, a gold choker, and a nice smoky eye, and you are ready for a night out! Then there’s the shoes. Oh boy, these shoes. I mean they have fringe pom poms for goodness sake! Fringe pom poms! This is the first pair of espadrilles I have ever owned, and I am so glad I finally took the leap and got them. I usually am purely a sandal-wearer in the spring and summer, but it was fun to branch out and try a different shoe style. Maybe next summer I can save up enough money to get a Tory Burch pair of espadrilles (key word here is maybe).

I’m wishing everyone a great start to the week! I’m currently on vacation and having a grand old time! I have to get in all the relaxation I can before the school year sneaks up on me in a month!

Embroidery Love

A lot of people tend to overuse the word ‘obsessed,’ but in the case of this dress, when I say I am obsessed with it, I mean it. I would stalk this dress. This dress would probably have to get a restraining order against me. Am I taking this joke too far? Probably. But I think you all get the point.

I mean, it has pockets, people. Pockets! Hands down the greatest feature a dress can have is pockets. Whenever I feel awkward talking to someone and I don’t know what to do with my arms, if I’m wearing this dress, into the pockets my hands can securely go (in case you’re asking, yes, I crack myself up). The dress is also soooo comfortable, another huge plus. The embroidery is so precious, and finally, the SLEEVES. I love love love these sleeves. Statement sleeves are one of my favorite trends right now, and these sleeves make a statement, without being too in-your-face.

Styling this dress with wedges is great, but I think this dress could be easily dressed up for a summer wedding with some strappy nude heels and some statement earrings, like these. It can be dressed down too, and I can’t wait to wear it with my cowgirl boots this summer! When you can easily dress up and down a dress, I think it’s smart to snatch it up, because you want to get bang for your buck when it comes to your clothes.

I hope everyone is having a great week so far! I am headed to Charlotte this weekend to spend time with my family and I am so excited! I can’t wait to relax and force all of my dogs to snuggle with me.

Pink Off-The-Shoulder Dress

IMG_3951IMG_3922IMG_3966IMG_3913IMG_3976IMG_3927IMG_3833IMG_4025IMG_3876

This post is currently being written by an extremely relaxed and care-free Hayley, who is free of school, and can now focus on the important things that come with summer, such as being tan and leaving my backpack to collect dust for four months. Ah summer break, how I adore you.

My boyfriend and I decided to do some eating and wandering around Charleston yesterday, and this dress was perfect for it. The spunky hot pink color is so vibrant for these warmer months, and it would look great with a tan…which unfortunately I am lacking right now. It also comes in a light blue and white! Yes, it’s off-the-shoulder, but I refuse to apologize for how much off-the-shoulder items I have! If something looks good on you, you should buy it in every color, right? (Or maybe I’m just giving myself the excuse to buy more clothes…) The wedges I’m wearing are by Marc Fisher, and they are my new favorite wedges. Also, they are currently 30% off, so click the link below if you want a good deal! The gold choker I’m wearing is one of my favorites. I love how delicate it is, so it’s not as harsh as your typical choker, and it goes with everything!

If you are ever in the Charleston area, I highly suggest you eat at The Obstinate Daughter on Sullivan’s Island. My boyfriend and I ate there last night, and it was incredible! Great drinks, and amazing pizza and pasta. With all of these carbs, I’m going to be beach body-ready in no time! *gives an enthusiastic thumbs up, heavy with sarcasm* Happy start of summer break, everybody! There are many more looks to come, and I can’t wait to share them with you all!
