How has everyone’s long weekend been? Mine has been really good! My parents came into town and we had a great time running errands and eating at a few of my favorite places in Charleston. (Here’s a few random restaurant recommendations for you whenever you’re in Chuck Town: Five Loaves, Boxcar Betty’s, and Sugar Bakeshop). My parents do so much for me and I am so grateful for them. I miss them so much already…
I took these pictures awhile ago over Christmas break! This outfit is a little different from what I might normally wear, but I really liked how easy this outfit was. The tee and stretchy pants made the outfit really comfortable, and I’m already thinking of other cute ways I could style this tee. This style camo is really in right now, and I’m kind of digging it.
On a scale of 1 to 10, how embarrassed should I feel when I say, “digging it?” An 11? Yeah I was thinking 11 too. Too bad I’m feeling like a 13 though. I really need to catch up on the slang of today’s youth. I talk as if I’m trying to embarrass the kids I don’t even have yet.

And just like that, my favorite time of the entire year is over *sobs, cries, blows nose, weeps*. It actually brings me to tears a little bit. I know I’m being dramatic and that I have so much to be grateful for, but I always feel really sad after the holidays are over. I don’t want to drink Starbucks out of the plain white cups, or hear boring music on the radio. And you never realize how bland your house or apartment normally looks until you take your Christmas decorations down. I’ve already seen some people take their decorations down and I cant believe it! Just a few days have passed since Christmas and they’re already down?? What’s the rush?? I can tell you right now, mine are going to be up until February. That’s just how I do things at the Murray house.
One thing that’s brought me joy during this dark time in my life haha, has been spending my Christmas money and buying clothes. I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again…I’m materialistic and love to shop. Take me as I am.
These shoes are one of my favorite gifts that I got for Christmas this year. Let me tell ya, they make me feel so fierce. I literally want to buy them in every color. I want to buy a new pair of black booties, so if Sam Edelman brings back this style again next year, a black pair will definitely be on my wish list.
I hope you all had a fantastic Christmas with your families and friends, and are doing a better job at coping with the fact that it’s over than I am!

Red Alert, people: Thanksgiving is next week!!! Praise the Lord! In just 10 days I will be stuffing my face with mac and cheese, casseroles of various sorts, and a medley of carbohydrates that will lead me to unbutton my jeans in satisfaction at the end of the day. Keep an eye out, because later this week I’ll be posting some ideas for what to wear for Thanksgiving, and I made sure to keep in mind the concealment of full stomachs, because that’s usually a pretty big concern of mine on the holiday.
On a different note, I wore this outfit one day while I was in Charlotte a couple weekends ago! I love the look of this lace top under the leather jacket! This jacket is from last year, but they brought the same jacket back this year, which I linked above, and it just has gold hardware instead of silver! It also comes in five colors, one of which being a metallic color. I’m not sure how I feel about it…It’s very bold, but I feel like it could be styled in really cute way! Go check it out and let me know what you think about it!
I hope you all are having a great start to your week! I’m just trying to make it through to the end!

Happy Thursday!! We are almost done with the week, woohoo! I’m finishing up the last bit of school work before this weekend, because my dad is coming to see me and I’m so excited! He’s going to take me to Sam’s to get some necessities. We are gonna do other stuff too, but for some reason I’m strangely excited for the trip to Sam’s…? I used to hate going there when I lived at home before college, but over the years I have found more and more enjoyment in it. Man, growing up just makes you a big ol’ bulk-shopping loser, huh?
On a totally different note, I bought this sweater for work, and now I want it in every color. It’s so comfortable, and is roomy but still manages to be flattering! I’ve been wearing it with white jeans to work because let’s face it, besides the amazing weather we have had the past few days, this is Charleston and it still feels like freaking August outside most of the time. So until it consistently feels like it’s after Labor Day, I’m going to continue wearing my white pants. It’s less laundry for me anyways…don’t have to wash my blue jeans as much.
Have a great weekend, pals! Hopefully you get through the last bit of this work week! We will make it together!
Target strikes again, my friends…not that I’ve ever experienced a time when I’ve gone into a Target and not wanted to buy at least five things that I absolutely didn’t need. But, I typically don’t buy clothes there, so I was very excited when I found this top. Basically everything about it is something to love. The bell sleeves, the gingham, and the off-the-shoulder look, all come together to make this one of my favorite tops for summer. If only it came in a light pink!
Also, Target is the place to go for accessories. Whenever I have an outfit that is just missing that one little “something,” like a piece of jewelry, or a scarf, I head to Target, because I know I’ll be able to find just what I’m looking for, for cheap. This hat is from Target, and I cant wait to wear it this summer, as well as into the fall! I’m starting to get really into hats lately, because when you have hair as thick as mine, (It takes me an hour to do my hair. An hour. No, I’m not kidding.) you want to go as long as possible without washing your hair, so a hat really helps with this.
I hope everyone is having a fantastic week so far! I hope that you enjoyed this post! Just so you know, with all of my posts, you also get free lessons on how to stand super awkwardly! I mean, just look at the fourth picture from the top. Hopefully you all find this beneficial! *insert sarcastic tone* I’m still working on this whole posing-for-the-camera thing. Have a happy week, everyone!
