Hello, friends! I hope you all had a great weekend, at least better than I did. I’ve been pretty sick for the past week, and this weekend was it’s peak, so I spent my weekend wearing pajamas and oily hair, surrounded by used kleenexes and various medicines. It was a real rager. I think I watched, oh I don’t know…SEVEN movies in one day! Let’s just say I am very ready to have my health back, and to not be violently coughing and blowing my nose every 5 minutes. Also, I am very tired of chicken noodle soup. Can we all just agree it’s the most boring of all soups?

On a brighter note, here’s a pretty sweater that’s a new favorite in my closet. Gotta love a good hot pink, huh? It makes me so happy! Also seeing pictures of myself where my hair and makeup are done and I don’t look like death like I did this weekend makes me very happy!

I love that you can wear this sweater off the shoulder! I suggest going up one size though for a slightly slouchier off the shoulder look. I did my regular size and I would have been a little more comfortable wearing it off one shoulder if I had had a little extra room from a larger size. They just added this sweater in a light blue color online, so someone please restrain me!

Pink Off-The-Shoulder Dress

This post is currently being written by an extremely relaxed and care-free Hayley, who is free of school, and can now focus on the important things that come with summer, such as being tan and leaving my backpack to collect dust for four months. Ah summer break, how I adore you.

My boyfriend and I decided to do some eating and wandering around Charleston yesterday, and this dress was perfect for it. The spunky hot pink color is so vibrant for these warmer months, and it would look great with a tan…which unfortunately I am lacking right now. It also comes in a light blue and white! Yes, it’s off-the-shoulder, but I refuse to apologize for how much off-the-shoulder items I have! If something looks good on you, you should buy it in every color, right? (Or maybe I’m just giving myself the excuse to buy more clothes…) The wedges I’m wearing are by Marc Fisher, and they are my new favorite wedges. Also, they are currently 30% off, so click the link below if you want a good deal! The gold choker I’m wearing is one of my favorites. I love how delicate it is, so it’s not as harsh as your typical choker, and it goes with everything!

If you are ever in the Charleston area, I highly suggest you eat at The Obstinate Daughter on Sullivan’s Island. My boyfriend and I ate there last night, and it was incredible! Great drinks, and amazing pizza and pasta. With all of these carbs, I’m going to be beach body-ready in no time! *gives an enthusiastic thumbs up, heavy with sarcasm* Happy start of summer break, everybody! There are many more looks to come, and I can’t wait to share them with you all!

Welcoming Spring

Follow my blog with Bloglovin

Ah, spring…the wonderful time of year when I can start worrying about how pale I am! Oh, and about how bikini-body season is officially upon us…wow spring, you may be pretty and full of blooms, but you sure do know how to stress a girl out.

Well, what better way to get ready for bikini season than with a box of cupcakes, right?! And this dress may not tone or tan me, but it sure does help cushion the blow of the fact that I am neither toned nor tanned. Isn’t it adorable? When I first put on this dress, I fell in love with it. And when I added the hot pink heel, I basically couldn’t stop swooning at myself. This outfit is so fun and girly, and perfect for frolicking around in spring flowers (cause everybody spends their free time doing that, I’m sure). This dress would look so cute styled with a neutral heel, and some bright and colorful earrings as well. When a dress is this cute, you want it to be easy to style in various ways, so you always have an excuse to wear it!

Also, if you’re ever in Charleston, SC and want a sweet treat, you should definitely visit Sugar Bakeshop! Not only do their cupcakes taste great, but they also make great outfit accessories!  Do yourself a favor and get the caramel cupcake. Seriously, though. Wishing everybody a great start to spring!

Jeans as White as Snow in March

This light and fresh spring outfit is just perfect for the snow and 45-degree weather that some of us got a couple of days ago, huh? I mean, who doesn’t love building a snowman in open-toed heels and an off-the-shoulder blouse? Well luckily there are warmer temperatures and brighter days ahead, and those are the kind of the days this outfit is meant for. Whether it’s a date night, or galavanting around with your gal pals, a simple jeans-and-a-top look can go a long way.

The top I’m wearing is a little more peach in person than it comes off in photos, which is why a lot of the similar tops I linked below are more of a peach/coral color. I love how soft and feminine the top is, and it’s good that I wore this outfit to a dinner, since I eat like a man (lol) and anything that makes me appear more ladylike is a plus for me!

The great thing about this outfit is that it can be dressed up like it is in the post, or it can be worn more casually, with some denim shorts, sandals, and a cute brim hat, for instance.

I hope everyone is having a great week so far! Now I’m going to go curl up on my couch in a giant sweatshirt and fuzzy socks, because I don’t think that a blouse and heels will help me survive this chilliness!
