LOFT Top (30% off today!) // J. CREW Jeans // SAM EDELMAN Shoes // LISI LERCH Earrings
Happy Monday!!! How was your weekend? My dad came to see me this weekend and we had so much fun! We went to see a comedy show, went to church, and had some amazing food. If you are a Charleston local, or are visiting Charleston soon, you should check out EVO Pizza. It was freaking amazing. Their pizza crust is a thin crust, but it’s really soft, not crispy like most thin crusts. It was heavenly. I recommend the pistachio pesto pizza.
I posted this outfit on Instagram twice last week and everyone went crazy for it! I got this top for half price when Loft was having their Easter sale, and I’m so glad I did. It is so comfortable, and just a really classy top. I took these blog pictures right after church a couple weeks ago, and I thought the outfit was perfect for church. I also think the top could be styled in a way that would make it very business professional as well, maybe with some tailored navy straight leg pants and nude heels.

I hope you all had a great weekend! This is my last week of class (not counting finals that are in a couple weeks), and I am ready to be finished. I need a four month-long summer break asap.
Let me just start this post off by asking a question. Where, oh where, does the time go? The Fourth of July is literally right around the corner, and if I’m being honest, I’m still depressed that Christmas is over. I guess that’s why I’m a little late to the July 4th outfit inspiration game…time has just passed me by!
But hopefully this dress makes up for my lateness! It’s a little different from what you typically see for the holiday, but I just think the floral pattern mixed in would make it perfect for a backyard barbecue for the 4th! It also doesn’t look super “Fourth,” so you can wear it for other occasions without feeling like your outfit looks out of place during other times of year. And I think this goes without saying, but the sleeves are incredible. I am all about the statement sleeves trend. Gimme all the ruffles and tiers you got. I’ll take ’em.
I hope you all enjoyed this post! I’ll be spending the next four nights sleeping while visions of hot dogs and potato salad dance in my head. Gotta love the holidays!

Greetings, everybody! A new week brings a new post, and this week I’m bringing you neutrals in the summer, which isn’t something I often do. I usually wear my brightest clothes during this time of year, but I thought that this dress was so classic with its cut and pattern, but also kept things interesting with the fun sleeves, so I decided to give it a whirl and look past the fact that it’s just plain old black and white. The material of this dress is honestly really nice, and not too hot at all for this time of year!
I paired this dress with brown accessories. Normally, when it comes to mixing black and brown, I tend to stay away, but I felt like the lighter shades of brown in my accessories, like the oatmeal shoes and cognac necklace and clutch, seemed to work well with the black, and almost pop.
Fun fact about these pictures: if you look in the background of some of them, you can see geese. I hate geese. They are terrifying, mean, miniature feathered-dinosaurs. They can smell my fear. But, I braved standing near them to take these photos. Maybe in my next outfit post, I’ll have a badge of courage pinned to me as an accessory. Maybe I can find one on Amazon? I think I earned it.

Happy Tuesday, everybody!!! Today is a very happy day for me because it’s my last day of class before finals, which basically means freedom! It’s such a relief to have all of my projects turned in, and presentations completed. Now I can start getting into the mindset of a glorious, due-date-free summer.
Let’s talk about this top! I bought this top when I took a day-trip to Savannah, Georgia a month ago, and I just thought it was so cute. I have been really into blue and white stripes lately (I have about 5 dresses and tops that have blue and white stripes, so I should probably chill out), but this top has black stripes too, so I thought, “It’s different, I might as well!” (I really like to grasp at straws when I’m trying to justify purchases…). I love how the ties on the shoulders add a fun touch to your typical off-the-shoulder top, and add a little something different to the trend that we are so used to seeing, yet never stop loving.
I definitely plan on getting some use out of this top throughout the summer, perhaps by making it more casual with white shorts and some metallic sandals! One thing I felt that I was missing when I put together the outfit, was some fun earrings, but I didn’t want to wear dangly earrings, so I thought a fun ear jacket would be perfect for this top! That’s something I’ll add to my summer wish list, for sure!
I am so excited for summer because I will have more time to invest in this blog and really work on creating what I envision. Thank you so much for reading. It means so much to me!

Happy Monday, everybody!! This past weekend was so gorgeous, and I had an absolute blast soaking up the sun! And by soaking up the sun, I mean working all weekend and writing a paper…so maybe I didn’t really get to enjoy it as much as I would have liked, but at least I was able to witness some sunny and 75°.
Speaking of sunny and 75°, I have the perfect dress for this perfect weather. With Easter right around the corner, it is absolutely adorable for such an occasion. I bought this dress when I was in Savannah, Georgia a few weeks ago, and I wasn’t expecting it to look as good as it did. I was pleasantly surprised! I styled this dress with just a simple chunky-heeled sandal (These shoes are amazing!!! They give you some height, but are incredibly comfortable), and some dangly earrings. But I would adore this dress with a cute sun hat, or a pair of cowgirl boots! The pastel stripes and ruffle add a feminine flare that is perfect for Spring.
So go grab this dress if you’re looking for a fun Easter Egg Hunt ensemble! Boy, those were the good old days. Now the only Easter Egg Hunts I participate in are hiding Reese’s Eggs in my mouth…
