Hello, friends! I hope you all had a great weekend! Mine was a little meh. I’ve just been feeling pretty overwhelmed lately with everything I’ve had going on between work, interning, and school (*cough* group projects *cough*). Feeling so stressed and overwhelmed is never fun, but I have a lot to look forward in the next few months (THANKSGIVING DINNER!!!!! CHRISTMASSSS!!!!!!) so I’m trying to focus on that. My boyfriend is coming to see me this weekend, and I am so excited about that! He always brings the joy, so that should take some stress away. Also, when he comes to town that means its blog photo shoot time, so you can expect a lot of cute looks in the next few months!
This outfit is probably one of my top three favorites that I’ve done on the blog so far. I’ve been obsessed with hats for fall this year. I think that they make an outfit look instantly more stylish. I’ve been obsessed with sweaters this fall too. Which I know isn’t exactly shocking, but I’ve been more drawn to them than usual. Nordstrom really just needs to stop making cute ones. Throw some argyle out there or something and maybe my sweater obsession will cease. This sweater paired with the hat and white jeans just looks so crisp to me, and I felt very “cool” when I wore this outfit. I understand that me saying I felt cool totally negates any coolness I may have actually possessed, but it was a nice feeling.
Also, I’ve gone to Starbucks five times in a row the past couple weeks and they’ve been out of colored fall cups every time, hence the boring white cup in these pictures. Come on, Starbucks! I love you, but you need to give the people what they want!
Let me just start this post off by asking a question. Where, oh where, does the time go? The Fourth of July is literally right around the corner, and if I’m being honest, I’m still depressed that Christmas is over. I guess that’s why I’m a little late to the July 4th outfit inspiration game…time has just passed me by!
But hopefully this dress makes up for my lateness! It’s a little different from what you typically see for the holiday, but I just think the floral pattern mixed in would make it perfect for a backyard barbecue for the 4th! It also doesn’t look super “Fourth,” so you can wear it for other occasions without feeling like your outfit looks out of place during other times of year. And I think this goes without saying, but the sleeves are incredible. I am all about the statement sleeves trend. Gimme all the ruffles and tiers you got. I’ll take ’em.
I hope you all enjoyed this post! I’ll be spending the next four nights sleeping while visions of hot dogs and potato salad dance in my head. Gotta love the holidays!

Target strikes again, my friends…not that I’ve ever experienced a time when I’ve gone into a Target and not wanted to buy at least five things that I absolutely didn’t need. But, I typically don’t buy clothes there, so I was very excited when I found this top. Basically everything about it is something to love. The bell sleeves, the gingham, and the off-the-shoulder look, all come together to make this one of my favorite tops for summer. If only it came in a light pink!
Also, Target is the place to go for accessories. Whenever I have an outfit that is just missing that one little “something,” like a piece of jewelry, or a scarf, I head to Target, because I know I’ll be able to find just what I’m looking for, for cheap. This hat is from Target, and I cant wait to wear it this summer, as well as into the fall! I’m starting to get really into hats lately, because when you have hair as thick as mine, (It takes me an hour to do my hair. An hour. No, I’m not kidding.) you want to go as long as possible without washing your hair, so a hat really helps with this.
I hope everyone is having a fantastic week so far! I hope that you enjoyed this post! Just so you know, with all of my posts, you also get free lessons on how to stand super awkwardly! I mean, just look at the fourth picture from the top. Hopefully you all find this beneficial! *insert sarcastic tone* I’m still working on this whole posing-for-the-camera thing. Have a happy week, everyone!

A lot of people tend to overuse the word ‘obsessed,’ but in the case of this dress, when I say I am obsessed with it, I mean it. I would stalk this dress. This dress would probably have to get a restraining order against me. Am I taking this joke too far? Probably. But I think you all get the point.
I mean, it has pockets, people. Pockets! Hands down the greatest feature a dress can have is pockets. Whenever I feel awkward talking to someone and I don’t know what to do with my arms, if I’m wearing this dress, into the pockets my hands can securely go (in case you’re asking, yes, I crack myself up). The dress is also soooo comfortable, another huge plus. The embroidery is so precious, and finally, the SLEEVES. I love love love these sleeves. Statement sleeves are one of my favorite trends right now, and these sleeves make a statement, without being too in-your-face.
Styling this dress with wedges is great, but I think this dress could be easily dressed up for a summer wedding with some strappy nude heels and some statement earrings, like these. It can be dressed down too, and I can’t wait to wear it with my cowgirl boots this summer! When you can easily dress up and down a dress, I think it’s smart to snatch it up, because you want to get bang for your buck when it comes to your clothes.
I hope everyone is having a great week so far! I am headed to Charlotte this weekend to spend time with my family and I am so excited! I can’t wait to relax and force all of my dogs to snuggle with me.
