Hello, folks! It’s been forever since I’ve actually come on here with a post like this! Though I must admit, the break was very nice. I love my blog, but there are aspects of it that can be very overwhelming. But I am happy to be back, and already have my wheels turning for new content in the coming months. Fall is right around the corner, and it is my absolute favorite season to dress for, and the time of year when I feel most inspired, and honestly just more happy all around. I love my cute yellow top and white jeans in this post, but just thinking about wearing sweaters, boots, jackets, and cute hats gets me so giddy and excited!!!
What have you all been up to?? I can’t believe we are already on the last leg of summer. It feels like only yesterday that I was celebrating with all of you that school was over with for the year, and now I only have a month left before I’m back there again. Ugh, gross. But at least it’s my senior year! Woohoo!!!
August is going to be another very busy month for me, so I can’t promise that things with the blog are going to pick up their normal pace quite yet. I am going to Texas with my family and Juan to visit some of our family (fun fact, I was born in Texas), and then school also starts in August, so it is going to be another busy month where my schedule is going to be all out of whack. But I promise that after August, things will be in full swing! I hope you all have a great week ahead of you!!!

Hello, pals!!! I want to start off by apologizing for how pale I am in this post haha. What do you do when you hate being pale, hate laying out, and also hate using self tanner? What I usually end up doing is staying pale, and then complaining about how pale I am to everyone that will listen (that is an over-exaggeration, but you get the point). Anyways, hopefully by the end of this summer I will be a bronze goddess, but we shall see.
If you follow me on Instagram, you may have seen this yellow dress in one of the try-on sessions that I did on my Stories. For those of you that didn’t see it, I love everything about this yellow dress except for one thing, and that thing is that the dress is completely backless. If I had a slim, toned back, this wouldn’t be a problem, but this is not something that I possess, so I am not a huge fan of the backless look. This is such a shame, because everything else about this dress is so flattering, and it is so light and airy! To fix the backless issue, I paired my new favorite denim jacket with it, and alas! My problem was solved! This jacket is AMAZING, let me just tell you that. It comes in two other washes, and is $39.99. I can’t recommend this jacket enough. It is really amazing quality, and for such a good price. I am also really glad that I got it in the lighter wash as well, but I definitely plan on getting it in one of the darker washes eventually!
I hope you are all having a good week so far! I am headed to Charlotte tomorrow for a very long weekend and I am so so so so so so excited!!! I get to see my boyfriend, my family, and all four of my dogs! I haven’t been home in forever, so I really am so happy to finally be heading there. My trips home are also my time to be extra stylish, because I can finally wear clothes that aren’t work clothes or athleisure, so you know that I already have all of my outfits picked out. Follow me on Instagram if you want to see what I wear everyday! Have a great week!

Alright, folks. Let’s cut to the chase. This dress is fantastic. I really don’t know what more I need to say about it. I mean, do you see it? It’s gingham. It’s embroidered. It has ruffle sleeves. It’s the color of sunshine. It’s flowy so you can eat in it. Do you really want me to keep rambling on?
This dress also comes in black, navy, and red — and believe me, if I could afford to purchase it in another color, I would! But sometimes I have to take a step back and calmly say to myself, “Hayley, I don’t know who you think you are that you think you can actually afford to buy this dress in another color. You are aware you pay your own bills right?” After that tough-love session with myself, I am able to come to my senses, and slowly (but not without hesitation), put my credit card back in my wallet.
Are y’all having a swell week so far? Any fun plans for the weekend? Right now, I am writing this post as a way to procrastinate on the 10-page paper I have due on Monday. Also, right before I started typing the sentence you are reading right now, I had just taken a 10-minute “break” from writing this post to look at earrings on Baublebar. I’m procrastinating on my procrastination….Lord, help me.

I have been on quite the yellow kick this spring, as you can see from this blog post and this photo. I don’t understand why people say blondes can’t wear yellow, cause I think it looks really good on blondes! And yellow looks even more bright when paired with a pretty blue color, so blue and yellow are the colors that have really been catching my eye during my frequent online window shopping sessions.
